What is Professional Essentials?
​Professional Essentials is a fast, easy, cost-effective way to provide a meaningful, scalable suite of short, on-demand professional skills courses for lawyers and staff that your firm will be proud of – and that looks and feels like you created it in-house (if you choose the optional branding & customization services). A subscription to Professional Essentials allows you to choose up to a pre-defined number of modules – based on your chosen subscription size – to leverage firm-wide over the course of your subscription period. 
How do Professional Essentials courses differ from other elearning libraries out there?
In several ways.  First, Professional Essentials courses have been designed specifically for law firms.  And all of the topics have been created based on input from our law firm clients – and we continue to add new courses frequently, based on new requests and emerging trends in the legal community.  In addition, all of the modules are designed to be both practical and actionable, so that the learner can immediately reflect on and apply what they’ve learned. Finally, the modules are created with a strategic combination of professional narration, engaging graphics and animations, and interactivity, in addition to pause-and-reflect moments, to increase engagement, retention, and ultimately real-world application. 
How long is each course?
​Most courses run 15 minutes or less, ideal for learning in short bursts. A few are as short as 7 or 8 minutes, while there are a couple that run about 17 or 18 minutes.  
How are these modules intended to be used?
The idea is that they can be used in a variety of ways. Assign the modules to specific audiences for independent self-study, as pre-work in advance of live training events, or as the foundation for facilitated learning discussions, leveraging provided step-by-step facilitation guides for select modules. They are also an effective resource to supplement one-on-one coaching or as follow-ups to performance improvement conversations. Other creative ideas can be found in the Actionable Ideas guide, included with your subscription.
What are the next steps, after I’ve subscribed?
​We’ll have a kick-off call to orient you to the service and how it works. We’ll also talk through your specific training needs and objectives, and provide a variety of tips, suggestions, and templates to get you started, based on your specific needs. We’ll also set you up with password-protected access to the Professional Essentials Client Portal, which will allow you to review all available modules, see additional titles that are coming soon, and select the modules you’d like to include in your firm’s library. 
Once I’ve selected modules for my firm, where are they accessed for firm-wide use? ​
You have a couple of options. You can host the courses on your firm's learning management system (LMS) or intranet server - or let us handle hosting for you. If you host them on your firm’s LMS, we’ll provide you with a SCORM file for you to upload to your system. 
How does hosting by LawFirmElearning work?
​If you leverage our platform, we’ll provide a firm-branded, web-accessible, password-protected site featuring all of the modules you’ve licensed. You’ll also have access to an easy-to-use Administrative Control Panel, through which you can easily add new users, organize them into groups, send email announcements and assignments, and run reports on usage.
​WHAT ARE MY BRANDING OPTIONS FOR THE MODULES?
We can brand each module for you in two ways.
  1. Brand the title slide for each module – to include your logo & a firm-specific image.
  2. Complete a full-color rebranding of each module to align with your firm’s colors.

HOW DO THE FACILITATOR GUIDES WORK? 
Many of the modules are well-suited to be used as the centerpiece of facilitated discussions. For those specific modules, we’ve created a PE Facilitator Guide to guide you – or one of your colleagues – in leading a discussion around the module. This type of learning format encourages a deeper level of engagement with the topic and group discussion to further enhance the learning.  The guides direct the facilitator step-by-step, encouraging them to pause at designated locations within the module to ask questions and spark discussion.
